Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson comes from a musically inclined family. The majority of her childhood was spent listening to traditional music, old boleros, and the traditional romantic and ranchero ballads. Ana enjoys tangos operas and other dramatic performances. Following her singing lessons with mom at the age of 12, she took up more rigorous training in singing at 16, under the direction of the renowned Mexican tenor FlavioBecerra. The School of Music of Guadalajara University as well as the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico continued her music education. As a student and being a young professional at the time in Mexico City and Guadalajara she sang with several chamber groups and choirs. After moving from Mexico to the United States at the age of 2000, she sang for the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. She performs solo Latin American music for private functions and as a member Ensemble XXI in Redlands. Alongside being an instructor and performer in the local area the passion for music and art keeps her active in a variety of different projects. Ana was a member of the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is currently a teacher in The Performance Loft. Ana finds it a privilege to have the opportunity to share with others her passion for traditional Latin American music. She hopes that this will encourage younger generations to preserve the traditions.
